First English Medium School at Ladhurka village in Purulia
Education lays the foundation stone to build good quality of a person. The importance of education lies on the fact that the children of today will be the responsible citizen of tomorrow. Tragically, owing to lack of opportunity particularly in remote rural areas, numerous kids stay denied from the scope of modern education.
Keeping this in mind in 2015 Turnstone Global has started an English Medium School at Ladhurka village at Hura block in Purulia to promote accessible education by bridging the education gap between urban and rural India. The school have received overwhelming response from the local communities which includes tribal communities as well.
Teaching methodology in this school is quite unique. Children are taught in a scientific manner with the help of interactive books and toys as a mode of education to develop their skills. The examination system is different from the traditional system. Our motto is ‘Keep learning while playing’. Apart from bookish knowledge, Turnstone Global encourages them in sports, various cultural activities & community works etc.
The local community was inspired in such a way that the father of Daulat Bandopadhyay who succumbed to death by a tragic road accident at a very young age; donated the land to Turnstone Global for establishing a school with a request to put the name of the school in the memory of his loving departed son ‘Daulat’. Hence the School had been named as ‘ Daulat Public School ‘
The school is playing a vital role in the development of the region and in the coming academic year the number of students is expected to be reach around 500.
It is only the start and, we are positive about a bright future for the children of this region.
Support a tribal student to get modern education at Daulat public school.
