Turnstone Global runs its Livelihood generation activities in 2 layers.

INDIVIDUALLY:
After selecting an area to be cater first we segregate the individuals; who are already small entrepreneurs in that area & who can be trained and can be turned into entrepreneur.
WHO ARE ALRADY SMALL ENTREPRENURES :
Those who are already entrepreneurs in that area we try to double their income within one year by providing them entrepreneurship training such as hands on training on basic accounting, book keeping, stock maintenance, creating new opportunity to enhance their income for example if there is an entrepreneur who makes soft toys at his/her house, we provide further training to make those soft toys marketable and further train them how to attend different fairs and use online platforms to sell their products, if necessary we support them by providing interest free loan.
So forth we have enhanced the income of 1657 small entrepreneurs in the district of Purulia, North 24 Pargana and Siliguri.
WHO CAN BE TRAINED AND CAN BE TURNED INTO ENTREPRENEUR:
Individuals who are not entrepreneurs in those case we first skill them in any particular trade and then support them to setup the entrepreneurship and do follow up their activities for consecutive 2 years.
So forth we have developed 569 entrepreneurs in the districts of Purulia and North 24 Pargana of West Bengal.
Apart from these we also do linkages with the different banks, prepare business proposals for the small entrepreneurs so that they can obtain loans. We also do forward and backward linkages with the market
BY CREATING SELF HELP GROUP
So forth we have trained 49 Self Help Group in making jute products, terracotta products and products made of water hyacinth. We have trained the women in SHGs in savings, procedures in getting small, medium business loans, women welfare schemes and the rights of the women.
- Turnstone Global has started Training program for Women Self-Help Groups (SHG) on making of Jute Diversified products like Footwear and Bags and trained 200 women and made 20 SHGs and now on successful completion of training they are making good design of fabric bags and foot wears.
- Simultaneously we trained 100 women in making terracotta items like various artistic idols, flower vases, wall hangings, show pieces, various gift items, , door hangings and made 10 SHGs in West Bengal.
- We have also trained 150 women and made 10 SHGs for making various kind of handicraft items like carry bags, show pieces, wall hangings products using Water Hyacinth ( in Bengali Kochuripana) which are getting sold through various fairs. For value addition purpose, Brass and Iron components are usually being added to Water Hyacinth items to make fusion handicraft products.
- To enhance the local economy in the most backward district of West Bengal, Purulia we have designed special livelihood generation project through Skill and entrepreneurship development for 100 marginalised candidates among which 50 percent are unemployed youths and rest 50 percent are poor women from self-help group in Dairy Farming and Self-Employed Tailoring.
As off now Turnstone Global have developed more than 4902 individuals as entrepreneurs who earned more than Rs.10000/ per month.
