As per the available statistics 7.5 % children under age 5 develop Severe Acute Malnutrition in India. It prevents the physical & psychological growth of children which cause negative impact on cognitive ability of the children resulting poor academic performance which directly affect their future livelihood. Poverty is one of the major underlying cause of malnutrition. No accessibility to important health related information regarding the upbringing of SAM affected children turn into a threat to their lives.

Through our door to door survey by our field executive we identify SAM Children. We provide them Vitamin A supplementation to prevent Night Blindness as well do their deworming by providing Anthelminthic drugs which prevents ml nutrition caused by intestinal worms in children. Canada Science spread their hands to give a grand success of Vitamin Supplementation & Deworming program.
Our social counsellors are empowering the mothers of underprivileged families by regular counselling for ensuring adherence to the medical support and access to critical information on nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, infections and stimulation to ensure the good health of their children.

Each year more than 289,000 women die from pregnancy and childbirth-related complications in India. Mostly all of these unfortunate deaths are preventable with effective pre & post-natal care and education.

Capacity constraint in various Maternity homes, Govt. primary health care centres and tertiary hospitals severely affects the healthcare services to vulnerable pregnant women and new-borns. Many expecting and lactating mothers from rural Bengal, various tea gardens and slum areas are unaware about the available enlisted services in different health care institutions near them and also unable to understand the best practices which can enhance their wellbeing along with their new-borns/ unborn babies. Through our various objective interventions by social counsellors and field workers we provide them intermittent counselling on how to cope up with different psycho somatic stress related to their pregnancy along with promote consumption of Iron & Vitamin supplements by supplying them free of cost. For the improvement of their general health we provide protein rich dry ration to all of the beneficiaries who are expecting

As per the The National Family Health Survey (2015-16) it has been found that in India majority of women (62 percent) use cloths during their periods. In India Menstrual health is highly neglected & still mostly governed by various taboos due to lack of proper messages. This is highly needed to address this issue with prime focus keeping on women & adolescent health through different social and behavioural change programs. The young adolescent and women in rural and semi urban area poses very little knowledge about practicing proper menstrual health hence throughout the year our community cadre relentlessly work with this group very closely by arranging weekly / fortnightly interactive session to enhance their knowledge about menstural health & promote sensible menstrual health practice by providing them low cost sanitary napkin made by SHG of Turnstone Global in free of cost.
