Rehabilitation Therapy

At different therapy centres of Turnstone Global ,our extremely well trained team of Rehabilitation professionals through our high tech therapeutic units equipped with state of art technology and international standards equipment design exceptionally customised therapy like individual sessions, group therapy, counselling and the Home based outreach programs for the children/ adults with compound/single disability to build up their various social and personal self-help skills by enhancing their integration with society & functional academic skills, for their holistic development which are enabling them to become a contributory member of our society .

The different therapeutic interventions include Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Sensory Integration Therapy, Physiotherapy, Counselling, Alternative Therapies, and Special Education

Occupational Therapy
Through occupational therapy Turnstone Global promotes the health and well-being of individuals who are fighting with either mental, physical, developmental, or emotionally disabilities by providing various customized therapies which are specific for their disabilities or physical limitations through the evaluation of their home and work environments and advice special recommendations like wheel chairs, splints, aids for eating and self-grooming and train them on its use.

From our Occupational Therapy units we render the services for the following issues like

• Learning disablities, developmental disabilities or other birth injuries
• Eating disorders, Substance abuse or other Mental or behavioural issues
• Stress injuries , Arthritis , Low back Pain due to postural imbalance or abnormality
• Post Stroke Deformities or limitations
• Post burn Deformities

We provide customised sensory integration therapy on individual basis to increase motor functions by optimizing the sensory imbalances found in the children with developmental disabilities specially the children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Speech Therapy

Our State of Art Speech therapy unit specially designed to render services to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social & cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults who permanently /temporarily have lost their ability to communicate by formation of speech or producing sound due to various Psycho Social and physical issues.

Through our skilled Speech Language Pathologists we render these services on individual basis or in group as families or other support group and create awareness among the general public

Special Education

At our Special Education centres various teaching interventions are being adopted to help the children with learning disabilities, communication disabilities, emotional and behavioural disorders, physical disabilities, and developmental disabilities to achieve higher level of self-sufficiency and success in academics

Physiotherapy

Through our well-equipped physio therapy centres we cater the children/ adults suffering with skeletal abnormalities (flat foot, spina bifida, various spinal deformities) , poor muscular coordination due to any physical trauma and birth defects.

Counselling

Children /Adults with special needs always find it very difficult to align with regular expectations of society. The counsellors of Turnstone Global give their immense effort through life skill training, individual and Group Therapy, Family counselling, Parental counselling and guidance to improve their interpersonal skill by inducing leadership and team work qualities for their holistic development.

Alternative Therapy

Story of change

Rupa (name changed) was three year girl when her parents brought her to our therapeutic unit. She was very hyper active could not even sit for one minute in a particular place. Her eye contact was poorly developed. Her hand muscle coordination is so poor that she could not grip anything properly. Her speech was not developed properly. Drooling of saliva was the major concern for her parents.

After proper evaluation she underwent rigorous interventional therapies like speech and sensory integration along with occupational therapies at our therapy centre

Now Rupa can sit at list for 15 minutes in a place in calm. Her eye contact has been developed, drooling of saliva has been arrested and now she can speak short syllables. Thanks to our therapists, counsellors and donors.
