Turnstone Global feels fortunate to have been entrusted with the task of providing training to the Teachers and Special Educators of Schools under Samagra Siksha Mission in West Bengal . The Samagra Siksha Mission is responsible for education of children with special needs or CWSN as they are usually being termed. Teaching methodologies of such children differs from other children. Hence it is essential for teachers engaged in educating CWSN to adopt methodologies suited for such special need children.
Year round workshops have been conducted for teachers and special educators of Samagra Siksha Mission. Duration of workshop varies from 3 days to 5 days depending on curriculum of workshop. Participants at these workshops have been trained on how to handle children with different types of special needs. In addition, they are also given training on Braille. Apart from theoretical inputs, visits to different specialised centres have been organised for participants to provide practical exposure.
